DeeJayAlex is an Toronto based singer, songwriter, and producer whose work threads late-night intimacy through modern Southern R&B. Her sophomore album NIGHT SHIFT (Amber Room Records, 2026) debuted at #7 on Apple Music's R&B chart and earned an 8.1 from Pitchfork, who called it “the rare breakup record that sounds like relief.”

Raised in East Point and self-taught on a hand-me-down keyboard, DeeJayAlex began releasing music from her bedroom in 2020 and self-released her debut EP, Porchlight, in 2022. The project drew early co-signs from AURORA and Amber Mark and led to a feature on Complex's “R&B You Need to Hear” and a recurring slot on The FADER's playlist rotation. Her first headlining run that fall — 18 dates, mostly 300-cap rooms — sold out by week three.

NIGHT SHIFT marks an expansion. Recorded over eleven months between Atlanta and Copenhagen, the album moves between live-band warmth and late-night production without ever losing its intimacy. Lead single Amber Light crossed 19M Spotify streams within ten weeks and has soundtracked features at NPR Music, Okayplayer, and COLORS.

DeeJayAlex tours behind the record through winter 2026, headlining venues from Terminal West to Brooklyn Steel, with festival appearances at Day N Vegas and Governors Ball.
